Use Download Engine

The Use Download Engine command instructs internal setup engine downloads for Web Media Blocks to be routed through a custom plug-in.

Download Engine

Enter the name of a compliant plug-in in this field to use a custom download engine. Available engines are listed in the drop-down menu.

Leave this field blank to revert to the internal download engine.

State Information

Optional, custom information to pass to the plug-in. Please refer to the plug-in documentation for more details.

If the plug-in offers any hints as to the meaning of its State Information field, such hints will be displayed by this command.

Moreover, if the plug-in offers any visual editor to generate/edit this field, you may access the visual editor by clicking the button to the right of this field.

 Notes

• This command may be invoked multiple times during script execution to change download engines or revert to the internal setup engine as needed.
• At build time, the plug-in runtime DLL will be added to your setup as a support file. Ensure that there are no existing support files with matching names in your installation to avoid file name collisions.
