Internet Explorer 6 (SP1)

This plug-in provided command installs or re-installs Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.

Install Internet Explorer 6 (SP1)

Choose whether to perform a complete, standard, or minimal installation of Internet Explorer using the drop-down menu.

Shell Integration

Choose whether you wish to:

• Make Internet Explorer the default browser, and create all shell shortcuts
• Create the shell shortcuts only
• Just install the Internet Explorer browser control, and do not create any shortcuts (useful if your application requires the browser control)

Return result in variable

If you indicate a previously defined variable in this field, it will hold one of the following values, based on the outcome of the attempted installation:

• REBOOT: Installation completed successfuly, system must be restarted for changes to apply
• ERROR: Installation failed

 Notes

• This command does not check whether a current or newer version of Internet Explorer already exists on the system. It will re-install Internet Explorer even if it has already been installed.
• Use the Get System Settings command to check for an existing version of Internet Explorer.
