Download application runtimes with single file build

Hey

I am using IA X13.
I have created a setup, which needs a few runtimes preinstalled.
Therefor, I use the designer and check the things I need. For example .NET Framework 4.7.2

Everything works fine so far.
When I use the single file build, then the complete framework is added to the installation file (what of course is the idea of a single file) - but how can I tell the single file build, that te requirements should get downloaded from my ftp server, if needed? This would save a lot of space of the installation file.
THX for tips in advance

It's quite simple.

InstallAware allows splitting the data contained inside a setup package into multiple online and offline parts (Web Media Blocks).

By design InstallAware automatically adds Web Media Block directives for project's components as, setup files or Application Runtime packages (ex.NET Framework 4.7.2).

But of course, additional "Web Media Blocks" may be manually defined as needed. Or an existing "Web Media Block" may be enabled/disabled.

So, once you have configured your "Web Media Block", you just need to build your setup package as "Compressed Web EXE".

For more detailed information, please have a look at the following links:
https://www.installaware.com/mh52/desktop/visualwebmediablocks.htm
https://www.installaware.com/webaware_installation_technology.pdf

or search for "Web Media Block" from the inline product documentation.

Hope this helps you.
