We have a problem with one of our installations. It is a little special in that it can build three different configurations of the same software, lets call them 'Configuration A', 'Configuration B' and 'Configuration C'. They have different product codes and are installed in different paths so that we can have all three installed on the same machine. This seems to work well. If we install all three configurations (lets say version 5.7.0.25 of the software) on a machine everything works the way we want to. We can then install 'Configuration A' version 5.7.0.27 and it also works. Configuration A is now version 5.7.0.27 and Configuration B and C is 5.7.0.25. The problem is when we try to install Configuration A, version 5.7.1.0, then the installation start but after awhile it stops with an error message saying:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Configuration B.msi' in the box below.
The interesting part here is that it is looking for 'Configuration B.msi' when I am trying to install Configuration A. it seems to have something to do with the higher version number but we can't understand why. Any ideas why this might happened?
We're using version X6

Are you caching setup source files?
