Progress dialog goes behind Add/Remove Programs window
When I go to run my uninstaller, the Progress dialog goes behind the Add/Remove Programs window. Is there a way to have the dialog always appear in front the Add/Remove Programs window?

How do I get movie.swf to play on progress dialog?
I am trying to play a small movie while the progress dialog is being displayed. I added my movie as a support file and added the FlashFrame object to my progress dialog. What else do I need to do to get the movie to play? The help file doesn't provide any information on how I can get the movie to pl...

Get INI File will not accept a path encased in quotes
In my particular scenario, my installation needs to traverse a bunch of folders in search of a file named config.txt. I don't know the names of these folders, so I use the "Find All Files". In this instance, the returned path to this file contains embedded spaces, so the path is wrapped in...

I am having the same problem. But when I run my uninstaller, the LANGUAGE variable is blank. I know that this is because I changed the TITLE variable during the installation. I change the TITLE variable in my installer to fix a bug which occurs when a user installs for the Current User and All Users...

Revision Code not renewing when installing for another user
Here is the scenario: I have created two users, both admins. For the first user, I install for the Current User. I, then, switch to the second user and install for All Users. Next, I switch to the first user and uninstall the Current User installation. During the uninstall, content that was installe...

Minimizing/maximizing IA causes refresh issues
I have just recently updated to IA 7 R2 and I have noticed that when I minimize IA to the toolbar and then maximize, a large blue border appears at the bottom and right side of the IA window (Please see attachment). The only way to get rid of it, as far as I know, it to minimize and maximize the win...

Updating to IA7 R2 asks to buy license or use for free
I just recently updated InstallAware to version 7 Release 2. When I opened IA, I was given two options: Purchase a license or try IA for free. I am a licensed user so I don't need to purchase a license or try it for free. So I ran my old license and it seems that my version of IA reverted back to IA...

Hi, I have two installers. One uses InstallShield and one uses InstallAware. If a user installs using InstallShield first and then installs using InstallAware second, the fonts don't get updated correctly when installing with InstallAware. (The InstallAware installer uses the Install Fonts plug-in)....

Error message appearing during install on Vista Business SP1
One of my testers was testing my installer on Vista Business SP1 and encountered an error that appears right before the end of the installation. The strange thing is that the installation is successful. The message doesn't happen on Vista Business or Home Premium. Can someone provide any insight on ...

After doing some research in the forums, I found that changing the title of the installer while the installer is running is what causes the strings to not appear in spansih when I run the uninstaller. I was checking to see what language the OS was running in and if it was Spanish, then I changed the...

Localized strings not displaying during uninstall
I have my project localized for Spanish. When I run the installer, everything is localized. But when I run the uninstaller, all the strings are in English. Do I need to set the language to Spanish when the uninstaller is started?
