Re: Do I have to localize each time I add/remove commands
There seems to be an issue this this. Once the project has been localized it seems to lose synch with the variable names. I have seen problems if I don't localize the project again.

Re: Feature requests
Yes that is what I mean. At the moment IA has three build configurations. I propose being able to add to that by not only defining the type of setup (Uncompressed, Single File or Web) but also being able to define compiler variables. So that the script can be created to utilize these compiler variab...

Re: Translation synchronization issue
IA9 has the "Set Variable" and "Set Localization Variable". Why are the Set Variable commands exported to the translation files? Seems that they should not be localized. If one wants to use a localized variable you would use the "Set Localization Variable" version.

Translation synchronization issue
Now that my project has been translated. Any time I modify the script that utilizes operations that contains translation fields I am required to export the texts, edit the translations for the new operations and import it back in. This is most noticeable if I have an assignment statement that uses a...

Re: Need to localize languages in the Select Language list b
I am using trying to use technique of a custom language selection dialog. I created a drop down list that contains the language selections. The dialog returns the selected language text. Is there a way for the dialog to return a code instead of the language text. For example the local ID of the lang...

Re: Unicode translations
Our policy at the company I work for is that we drop support for an OS when Microsoft drops it. With this philosophy you could drop
Windows 95, 98, Me and 2000
I would say at a minimum you could drop support for Windows 95, 98 and Me.
I suspect very few of your customers support these OS's.

Unicode translations
Hello,
Is support for unicode text planned in a future release of IA?
I realize that it isn't used for compatibility with earlier versions of Windows. But is anyone actually using these version anymore? At lease enough to be holding back everyone else?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: [WHY] Do I have to localize for every version?
This seems to happen to me as well if I add any new strings to my setup. When importing previous translations translations get all messed up. Are you planning on improving the translation management in a future version? It would be nice to have the translation strings editable within the project and...

Re: Folders and subfolder uninstall
I got it to remove the install folder (and subfolders) by adding
Recursively Delete Files $TARGETDIR$\*.*
command before the Apply Uninstall operation.

Folders and subfolder uninstall
Components that contain subfolders are not being uninstalled when the application is uninstalled. I verified that the check box to leave the component installed when uninstalling is not checked.
How do I get IA9 to removes these folders when uninstalling?

Translations cut off
The initial extraction and language selection dialogs (for a multi-language setup) do not have enough space allocated for installation on a French system (see attached images). Many of the controls in the standard dialogs are too small as well. However I am able to resize them in InstallAware. I do ...
