Thank you Francesco, I did not know this function yet. I tried it but the string with the Drive list alsways contains only the "A:\" drive. I tried a lot, but always the same.
Thank you anyway!

Select a drive only
Hi,
I need a dialog where the customer can only select a drive. He should not select a path, because the install path is always <selected_drive>\Application .
How can I realize it with InstallAware? Anyone an idea, hint?
Thanks in advance

Re: Set7zipDllDirectory in mia.lib Problem
I could verify that the customer did merge different (uncompressed) setup versions. There was an old mia.lib parallel to setup.exe what caused the problem. Case solved

Re: Set7zipDllDirectory in mia.lib Problem
The error message sound like the user has the wrong mia.lib, so I think it could be that somehow the user is using a not matching mia.lib with the setup.exe (Maybe in temp Dir). But I have no idea how this could happen. So forget my thought.
Maybe you have a better explanation?

Set7zipDllDirectory in mia.lib Problem
Hi,
a customer reported an error:
"the procedure entry point "Set7zipDllDirectory" could not be located in the dynamic link library mia.lib."
Any ideas what could cause such an issue? Maybe the user merged different setups?

DELL Sonic Wall recognizes IA built setup as Trojan
Hello, can anyone confirm that the hardware firewall "DELL Sonic Wall" recognizes every with InstallAware generated installation as Trojan (Menti.HURZ). I checked our installation with Avira, Sophos and Virus total but none of them found a virus inside the installation. Has anyone encounte...

Re: Setup.exe didn't start

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
I only disabled the AV. You mean the customer should completely uninstall the Antivirus software and try again?
I only tested one package at the customer, maybe I can try to check another.

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
Yes I checked Anti-Virus, Temp-folder and Admin rights, all seemed okay. That's why I created a procmon log file.

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
I am using IA 17, the latest version. And the setups runs fine on most systems. I only know from two systems that have this problem. So I think you won't find anything since I am also not able to reproduce the error here.
Is there nothing you or an IA developer could find in the procmon log files?

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
I placed a log entry (WriteToLogFile - Camelot Plugin). But this Log entry is not done. The script does not start at all. The setup is not even unzipped...What to check now?

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
So I don't understand why the setup did not start any dialogs at all. As you can see in the log file the .exe runs only for one second.
Have you any idea what is going on there?
How can I debug further if procmon doesn't help?

Re: Setup.exe didn't start
Yes of course. But you know what an IA Setup is soing on initialization. Maybe it needs such a DLL and it is a wrong version or something else. I have no idea what is going wrong there. And I don't know what to tell the customer...
